London PR has been working with one of this summer’s most talked about authors Dr Wednesday Martin. Wednesday wanted our help with launching her new book Primates of Park Avenue in the UK.

The book, which is out today (June 4th), is a memoir about Wednesday’s life in one of the world’s most exclusive postcodes, Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

Primates focuses on the lives of the super rich, and lifts the lid on some of their more outrageous practices.

We first started working with Wednesday in 2013 when she wanted to raise her profile in the UK after publishing her first book, Stepmonster and won features in in the Times, Telegraph Online and BBC Radio. We were also able to win her some impressive magazine coverage in titles such as Psychologies, Junior and Woman and Home.

The media interest around her second book has been incredible and reached almost fever pitch when Wednesday revealed the now infamous practice of the ‘wife bonus’, where wealthy men give their wives a performance related share of their bonus. In the last few weeks we have seen Wednesday featured in substantial features in The Daily Telegraph, The Times Online, The Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday to name but a few. We even saw her take the front page of The Sunday Times News Review. The international media coverage saw Wednesday’s book enter the Amazon.com top 20 days before it was released.

Wednesday Martin is an extremely talented author and a great storyteller. Primates of Park Avenue is a witty and funny book and we have really enjoyed working with her to promote it.
