It’s been a cracking summer so far at London PR. Not only has the sun been shining down on us every day for weeks but we are also celebrating after being shortlisted for two coveted PR industry awards.

The success of our work for client has been recognised with nominations in both the Corporate and Business Communications category and in the Low Budget Campaign category of this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Midlands Pride Awards.

It’s the first time in 11 years that we have ever put work forward for awards so it’s very exciting to be shortlisted in both the categories we entered.

We’ve been working with MuscleFood since 2014 and have delivered more than 1,200 items of media coverage for the online retailer since we started out. Click here to read how our consumer PR campaign surpassed the 1,000 media items milestone last October.

While the consumer campaign has been one of our most successful ever, it’s an additional corporate campaign which we delivered as an add-on which has been shortlisted for the awards. Last year we helped the company attract an investment of £10m in a deal which valued the retailer at £50m – amazing when you consider MuscleFood only started up five years ago.

But this year I was persuaded to make a submission to the CIPR Pride Awards and it’s been wonderful to be shortlisted in both the categories we entered.

“It’s particularly satisfying for our work with MuscleFood to be recognised in this way. More than any other single client they have played in key role in our own success and we have developed a very close relationship over the years, which is why it was so rewarding to be able to play an active role in their growth by helping them attract a £10m investment last year.

“It would be lovely to be able to hang a gong on the wall but whatever happens on the night we already know we have a winning team here at London PR.”
