CLIENT: Shed Simove

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

When media personality Shed Simove asked us to PR his new book we were understandably blank.

The book, entitled What Every Man Thinks About Apart From Sex, contained 200 empty pages.

We set about positioning the book as a hot item among the UK’s student population and soon won TV coverage and mainstream media attention.

As the book began to climb the best sellers list we followed up with reports of how author Shed was outselling JK Rowling and Dan Brown.

The book became a runaway success and was translated into nine languages (well, the cover was). It eventually sold more than 100,000 copies.

In 2014 Shed was awarded a Guinness World Record for the best selling blank book. He was kind enough to send us a framed copy of the World Record with the dedication: “To Steve and the team at London PR. Thank you for making this happen!”

How many other PR agencies can honestly claim to have a Guinness World Record hanging on the office wall?
