Before we close the office for the Christmas break here’s a quick review of 2018. It was our biggest year to date in terms of both agency fee income and results won.
Our retained clients enjoyed an average of 379 media items logged across the year – that’s more than one item of coverage for every single day of the year, including the days when the office was closed. They also enjoyed an average of 192 links earned into their websites across the 12 months, that’s 16 each month, so one every other day. A pleasing link rate of 50%.
It was also a great year for us in terms of awards with the team taking home the silverware for Corporate and Business Communication Campaign and Low Budget Campaign categories at the CIPR Midlands Pride Awards 2018.
Things haven’t slowed down at all towards the end of the year and December has been as busy as ever. For our final post of the year here are some of our coverage highlights of the past three weeks.
We had a fun time earlier in December when New York based author Dr Wednesday Martin asked us to handle UK media for her latest visit to London to promote her new book UNTRUE. We managed to secure coverage across a wife range of websites including Mail Online, Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and The Express. We also set up some great broadcast slots the highlight being an appearance on ITV’s This Morning.
Client O2 Nose Filters also enjoyed some strong coverage with pieces in The Guardian, Mail Online and The Times, as well as in regionals such as London Post and Yorkshire Post. We also kicked off our Spray Safe campaign for client Albedo100 with a strong feature in The Sun and across several regional titles such as Edinburgh Live.
Our customer case studies for Musclefood.com continue to do the business with recent stories appearing in titles such as The Sun, Mail Online and The Daily Mirror along with many, many others. In total we have delivered more than 120 items of media coverage for Musclefood this month alone along with an impressive 111 hyperlinks in to boost SEO.
Our automotive client LeaseCar.uk and LeaseVan.co.uk also had a strong December with advice pieces such as parking tips for Christmas shoppers doing well. Both sites have enjoyed hundreds of items of media coverage during 2018 and we have earned more than 100 links into each.
